German Journal of International Criminal Law

The German Journal of International Criminal Law (ZVStR) is the new open-access journal on international criminal law in the German-speaking region. It provides a forum for observing, contextualising and discussing developments in international criminal law in Germany, Austria and Switzerland – featuring peer-reviewed articles as well as news & comments, case notes, reviews and conference reports. Articles are published on a rolling basis; submissions are possible from 1 August 2026.

Call for Submissions

We invite scholars and practitioners to submit contributions on international criminal law – articles (double-blind peer review) as well as news & comments, case notes, reviews and conference reports. Submissions are possible from 1 August 2026 via the online portal.
